Tournament Information The 1st Annual Hockey Fights MS Stowe Tournament will take place September 25-27, 2015 in the beautiful mountain town of Stowe, VT. This is a great time to visit Stowe! The tournament will coincide with the Vermont Beer Week and fall foliage will be at or near its peak. Between hiking, biking, shopping and dining, the town of Stowe offers something for everone so feel free to bring the whole family! Proceeds from this event will benefit The Multiple Sclerosis Center at The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Tournament Details Tournament is open to Men’s C, Women's C and Women’s D teams. Only 12 teams will be accepted. Four (4) game guarantee. Games will be played with (3) 12 minute stop time periods. Players should be prepared to play their first games as early as 4:00pm on Friday. Teams typically play 1 game Friday, 2 Saturday, and 1 Sunday. Game schedules will be posted online approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the tournament. Game results and standings will be updated on our website throughout the tournament and will also be posted on Twitter at @HockeyFightsMS Award for 1st place teams in each division Raffle with great prizes! Tournament merchandise available for purchase onsite. All players will receive a long-sleeve tournament t-shirt when signing in for their first game. Team Rules Teams must have a minimum of 10 players and 1 goalie prior to the registration deadline to qualify All players must be at least 18 years old to participate and can only be rostered on one team per division All players must register and pay online in order to participate. Unregistered players caught playing in the tournament will be ejected immediately and the game will result in a forfeit for the offending team. All players must be on the roster prior to the start of the tournament. No substitutions or last minute add-ons. Players should bring both light and dark jerseys, including numbers on the back. Home team wears white, away team wears dark. Players must sign the score sheets located at the registration table before the start of each game and should come prepared to present a valid photo ID. Game Rules USA Hockey Adult rules will be observed with the following exceptions: Minor penalties will be 1:30, Major penalties will be 3:00 Any player receiving 4 minor penalties in one game will be ejected from the remainder of the game with no further suspension. Fighting majors will result in immediate suspension from the tournament, no exceptions and no refunds!
