Benefit Game Details

Hockey Fights MS will be returning to Massachusetts for it's 6th year on May 1 & 2, 2021 to continue fundraising for The Elliot Lewis Center for Multiple Sclerosis Care. The Hockey Fights MS Benefit Game Series is set up to allow teams to play in a single game on Saturday, a single game on Sunday, or one game each day. All games will be played at The Edge Sports Center in Bedford, MA and will consist of (2) 25-minute stop time periods. Registration is open to all adult players over 18 and all levels: Men's (A, B, C, D), Women's (A, B, C, D) and all levels of Co-Ed. The event schedule will be posted on our website approximately one week before the start of the event.

$55 per player fee includes:

• 1 game consisting of (2) 25-minute run time periods with two referees and a scorekeeper
• FREE Under Armor t-shirt to Team Captain for organizing the team
• Hockey Fights MS jersey included with each player registration (1 per weekend)
• Minimum $10 donation per player to beneficiary (minimum $20 per player when registering for both games)
• 1 MVP Award given to Team Captain to present at the end of the game
• Swag provided by event sponsors, as available
• Your team's picture featured on our Facebook and Twitter pages
• Game reminders sent to your phone via email.  Game results will also be promptly updated on our website throughout the weekend as well as Twitter at @HockeyFightsMS
• Opportunity to purchase tournament merchandise through our online store and have it picked up onsite (all orders must be placed by April 10).
• Registration Deadline is APRIL 10, 2021
• SAVE $15 automatically when you register for 1 Saturday AND 1 Sunday game!

Team Rules

• Teams will be paired up based on information provided by players at the time of registration.  Team Captains can also request to play a specific team.  If we cannot pair your team up with another team of equal ability you will be notified and refunds will be issued.
• Teams must have a minimum of 10 fully registered players and 1 fully registered goalie prior to the team registration deadline to qualify (April 10, 2021).  
• All players must be at least 18 years old prior to the start of the event.
• All players must register and pay online in order to participate.  Unregistered players caught playing in the event will be ejected immediately and the game will result in a forfeit for the offending team.
• No substitutions or last minute add-ons due to covid rules/restrictions Ã???Ã??Ã?¢?? ALL players must be on the official roster.
• Co-Ed teams must have a minimum of three players of the opposite gender on their roster (excluding goaltender). At least one player of the opposite gender (excluding goaltender) must be on the ice at all times. Failure to comply will result in a goal being awarded to the opposite team.
• Players must come to the rink with a valid photo ID and check in upon arrival.  
• Specific rules regarding covid will be communicated through email to all players prior to the start of the event.

Game Rules

USA Hockey Adult rules will be observed with the following exceptions:

• Minor penalties will be 1:30, Major penalties will be 3:00.
• Any player receiving 4 minor penalties in one game will be ejected from the remainder of the game.
• Fighting majors will result in immediate removal of the game, no exceptions and no refunds!
• Hockey Fights MS reserves the right to ban players from participating in future events due to unsportsmanlike behavior.
