Tournament Details

Our 2nd Annual Hockey Fights MS Hatfield, PA Tournament will take place August 9-11, 2024.  All games will be played at Hatfield Ice Arena.  Registration is open to adult Men's (A, B, C, D), Women's (C, D) and recreational coed teams.  Proceeds from this event will benefit MS Fit Effect located in Elizabethtown, PA. MS Fit Effect is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people who live with multiple sclerosis by focusing on fitness and exercise.

Player Fee Includes:

• 4 game guarantee starting as early as 3:00pm on Friday. All players will play a 4th game on Sunday. Games will be played on NHL size rinks and will consist of (3) 12-minute stop time periods.
• Tournament t-shirt guaranteed to players who register and pay by July 19, 2024
• Minimum $15 per player donation to MS Fit Effect
• NEW! Captain gift, special gift for champions in each division, and MVP awards
• Competitive divisions determined based on information provided by players at the time of registration.
• Game reminders sent to your phone via email. Game results and standings will also be promptly updated on our tournament website throughout the weekend.
• Opportunity to purchase tournament merchandise and team photos.
• RV/Campers are welcome.  Reservations must be made prior to the start of the event by purchasing an RV pass through our online store.  Passes will go on sale in a few weeks.  Additional information regarding RV parking will be emailed to registered players closer to the start of the event.

Team Rules

• Teams must have a minimum of 10 fully registered players and 1 fully registered goalie prior to the team registration deadline to qualify (July 12, 2024). Captains will then have two weeks to finalize their rosters.

• All players must be at least 18 years old prior to the start of the tournament and can only be rostered on one team per division (i.e. Men's, Women's, Co-Ed).

• All players must register and pay online prior to the registration deadline in order to participate. We do not allow on-site registration, subs, or roster changes after registration has closed. ALL players must be on the official roster. Unregistered players caught playing in the tournament will be ejected immediately and the game will result in a forfeit for the offending team. In the event of a goalie injury, arrangements may be granted at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

• Co-Ed teams must have a minimum of three players of the opposite gender on their roster (excluding goaltender). At least one player of the opposite gender (excluding goaltender) must be on the ice at all times. Failure to comply will result in a goal being awarded to the opposite team.

• Players should bring both light and dark jerseys, including numbers on the back. Home team wears white, away team wears dark.

• Players must sign the score sheets located at the registration table before the start of each game and should come prepared to present a valid photo ID.

Game Rules

USA Hockey Adult rules will be observed with the following exceptions:

• Minor penalties will be 1:30, Major penalties will be 3:00

• NEW!  Any player receiving 3 minor penalties in one game will be ejected from the remainder of the game with no further suspension.

• NEW! Maximum 3 goals per player per game.

• Fighting majors will result in immediate suspension from the tournament, no exceptions and no refunds!

• NEW! Hockey Fights MS reserves the right to ban players from participating in future tournaments due to unsportsmanlike behavior, including falsifying registration information.
