TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENT:  THIS TOURNAMENT SELLS OUT FAST!  Do not wait until the last minute to register.  We will be accepting the first 24 teams to have a minimum of 10 paid players and 1 paid goaltender on their roster. 

Tournament Details
The 18th Annual Hockey Fights MS Bethlehem PA Women's/Coed Tournament will take place August 4-6, 2023. Registration is open to Women's (B, C, D, 50+) as well as recreational coed. Proceeds from this event will once again benefit The Multiple Sclerosis Wellness Program at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network in Allentown, PA where they will use the funds to help expand their therapeutic art program, aquatics program and other rehabilitation programs geared towards helping those with MS learn to live a fulfilling life.

All games will be played at The Steel Ice Center in Bethlehem, PA - a thriving community full of many options for shopping, dining, lodging and entertainment including a casino within walking distance of the rink, outlets and concert venues. Taking place the same weekend as this tournament is Musikfest - the area's largest outdoor music festival, bringing in musicians from around the world! Presented by ArtsQuest, this 10-day music festival will include over 500 musical performances on 15 outdoor stages located throughout the city of Bethlehem. Past performers have included the Stone Temple Pilots, Maroon 5, Boston, ZZ Top, Fuel, Hootie & The Blowfish, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steve Miller Band, Alabama, Chicago, Santana and so many other big name bands! In addition to the music, Musikfest will also showcase over 60 food vendors, visual arts and crafts vendors, and a closing-night fireworks display that is visible from the rink. Hockey, live music, an abundance of delicious food, and supporting the areas BEST multiple sclerosis rehabilitation center - what could be better?  

Player fee includes:

• 4 game guarantee starting as early as 2:30pm on Friday.  All players will play a 4th game on Sunday.  Games will consist of (3) 12-minute stop time periods.  PLEASE NOTE:  Due to the size of this event, we cannot guarantee schedule requests.
• Tournament t-shirt guaranteed to players who register and pay by July 13, 2023

• Special parking for RV's and Campers will be available behind the rink, however, space is extremely limited.  Reservations must be made prior to the start of the event by purchasing an RV pass.  Additional information regarding RV parking will be emailed to registered players closer to the start of the event and will include directions on how to reserve your spot.  
  

Team Rules:

• Teams must have a minimum of 10 fully registered players and 1 fully registered goalie prior to the team registration deadline to qualify(June 7, 2023). Captains will then have two weeks to finalize their rosters.
• All players must be at least 18 years old prior to the start of the tournament and can only be rostered on one team per division (i.e. Women's, Co-Ed).
  
• All players must register and pay online prior to the registration deadline in order to participate. We do not allow on-site registration, subs, or roster changes after registration has closed. ALL players must be on the official roster. Unregistered players caught playing in the tournament will be ejected immediately and the game will result in a forfeit for the offending team. In the event of a goalie injury, arrangements may be granted at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
  
• Co-Ed teams must have a minimum of three players of the opposite gender on their roster (excluding goaltender). At least one player of the opposite gender (excluding goaltender) must be on the ice at all times. Failure to comply will result in a goal being awarded to the opposite team.
  
• Players should bring both light and dark jerseys, including numbers on the back. Home team wears white, away team wears dark.
  
• Players must sign the score sheets located at the registration table before the start of each game and should come prepared to present a valid photo ID.
  
• Specific rules regarding covid-19 are venue dependent and will be communicated through email to all players prior to the start of the event, if needed.
  

Game Rules
USA Hockey Adult rules will be observed with the following exceptions:

• Minor penalties will be 1:30, Major penalties will be 3:00

• Any player receiving 4 minor penalties in one game will be ejected from the remainder of the game with no further suspension.

• NEW! Maximum 3 goals per player per game.

• Fighting majors will result in immediate suspension from the tournament, no exceptions and no refunds!

• Hockey Fights MS reserves the right to ban players from participating in future tournaments due to unsportsmanlike behavior.
